Kaufman Health and Hormone Center reflects a personalized and comprehensive care model emphasizing the partnership between doctor and patient. While practicing in Boulder, Dr. Karen Kaufman became aware that patients needed and wanted more than what they were receiving from traditional Western Medical healthcare and decided to venture out into a solo practice in 2016. Leaving an established group practice after 13 years Dr. Kaufman faced many of the challenges faced by a start-up; brand identity, marketing and patient access. Her desire to have a vibrant, relevant website set the stage for success.

The DesignInk Digital team developed a branded, vibrant relevant website that focused on delivering comprehensive information, a patient portal, topical articles incorporating an inviting user experience and highlighting Dr. Kaufman’s warmth and expertise.

Dr. Kaufman is a successful medical doctor with scheduling often extending 6 months out; our greatest challenge was how to support her in her quest to have an ongoing, relevant presence with the general public without creating a time burden.
Identifying methods of passive income and offerings that did not demand more of Dr. Kaufman’s limited time.
Navigating HIPPA to reach out to Kaufman Health and Hormone Center’s target market on a broad scale through email, social and channel management.

What was accomplished?

With a blank canvas, the DesignInk Digital team took a deep dive in understanding Dr. Kaufman’s vision, learning who she was as a practitioner and identifying her voice. Creating an inviting and relevant website began with sitemaps, a content calendar and coordinating a photo shoot to set the tone. A patient portal was connected for protected communication and an informational email was set-up for distribution of articles. Social branding was integrated with attention paid to HIPAA restrictions while sharing informative articles and videos to the general public. The website launch coincided with the successful opening of Kaufman Health and Hormone Center and the DesignInk Digital team continues to respond to and evolve with Dr. Kaufman’s flourishing practice acting as an extension of her team.
